1. About these terms
The Mind + Soul Day Retreat (the Event) is hosted by Mikayla Howe (Mind with Mik) and Molly Johnson (Harty Soul) (we, us, our).
By buying a ticket, ticking the acceptance box at checkout, or attending the Event, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you don’t agree, please don’t buy a ticket.

3. Who can attend
The Event is for people aged 18 years or over. By booking, you confirm that you are 18 or older. We may ask for proof of age at check-in, and we may refuse entry, without a refund, if you are under 18.

- Places are limited and are only confirmed once payment is received in full.
- Your ticket is for you only. Tickets can’t be transferred or resold.

We may, at our sole discretion, make an exception in special circumstances, but we are not required to.
If we cancel or reschedule. If we cancel the Event, we will give you a full refund of what you paid us. If we have to reschedule or cancel because of something outside our reasonable control (for example, severe weather, illness of a facilitator, venue unavailability, a government direction, or an emergency), we will offer you a place at the new date or a full refund, whichever you prefer. We are not responsible for any other costs you have, such as travel or time off work.
Your legal rights. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can’t be excluded by contract.
6. What’s included
Your ticket includes all workshops, guided activities and facilitated experiences, all creative materials and supplies (including for your vision board), the guided meditation and sound bath, morning tea and lunch, and a goodie bag.
Your ticket does not include travel, parking, or anything else not listed above. Please bring a yoga mat, comfortable clothes and a water bottle. A blanket and journal are optional.
7. This is not therapy
The Event is an educational, reflective and personal growth experience. It is not therapy, counselling, psychological treatment, medical advice or a substitute for any of these. Attending does not create a psychologist-client, counsellor-client or any other treating relationship with either of us, including Mikayla, who is a provisional psychologist and counsellor.
Topics such as self-worth, values and emotions may bring up thoughts or feelings. You choose what you share and how much you take part. You are free to pause, step out or sit a session out at any time.
If you or someone you know is in crisis, please call 000 in an emergency. You can also call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636 at any time.
8. Your health and taking part (including the sound bath and guided breathing)
Taking part in every activity is voluntary. You are responsible for deciding whether each activity is suitable for you, based on your physical and mental health.
The meditation, sound bath and guided breathing can involve stillness, deep or changed breathing, loud or sustained sounds and vibration. Some people experience lightheadedness, dizziness, tingling, tiredness, strong emotions or temporary physical discomfort. While this event does not intend to be intense or evoke strong emotions, please know in limited circumstances, emotions may come up.
These activities may not be suitable if you:
- are pregnant;
- have a heart or cardiovascular condition, or high or low blood pressure;
- have epilepsy or a history of seizures or stroke;
- have glaucoma, a detached retina or osteoporosis;

- have a major mental health condition, or are in a period of acute distress;
- have asthma (please bring your inhaler);
- have tinnitus, hearing sensitivity or sensitivity to sound or vibration.
This list isn’t exhaustive. If you have any doubt, please speak with your doctor before booking. Please tell us about any conditions or injuries that may affect your participation when you book, or before the day, so we can talk with you about how to take part safely. You can always choose to sit out, lie down, or modify any activity, and we will support that.
9. Assumption of risk and release
You take part in the Event at your own risk. You are responsible for your own physical, mental and emotional wellbeing before, during and after the Event.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release us, our facilitators, staff, contractors and the venue from any claim, loss, injury or damage you suffer in connection with the Event or your participation (including in the meditation, sound bath and guided breathing), except to the extent it is caused by our negligence or breach of the law. We are not liable for loss of or damage to your belongings, which you bring at your own risk.
Nothing in this clause excludes or limits any liability that can’t be excluded or limited by law.
10. Respect and conduct
We want everyone to feel safe, welcome and respected. Please:
- treat other guests, facilitators and venue staff with kindness and respect;
- do not harass, bully, discriminate against or intimidate anyone;
- respect the privacy of other guests. What others share in the room stays in the room, and you must not share their personal stories or information outside the Event;
- do not record other guests, or share photos or video of them, without their permission;
- follow reasonable directions from us and the venue.
We may ask you to leave, or refuse you entry, if we think you are not following these rules or you are affecting the safety or enjoyment of others. No refund will be given if this happens.
11. Photos and content
We plan to take content at the Event to share on our social media and in our marketing, including on Instagram (@mindwithmik and @harty.soul) and our websites. By attending, you agree that we may capture and use photos and video that include you for these purposes, without payment.
If you’d prefer not to appear in our content, please tell us when you book or at check-in, and we will do our best to ensure you are not in any. If you want us to stop using content that includes you, please contact us and we will remove it from our channels as soon as reasonably possible.
12. Privacy
We collect your name, email, phone number, emergency contact details, dietary requirements and any health information you choose to give us, so we can run the Event safely and contact you about it. Health information is sensitive, so we only ask for what we need.
We handle your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. We store it securely, only share it with people who need it to run the Event (for example, our ticketing platform, caterer or venue), do not sell it, and only keep it for as long as we need it. You can ask to see or correct your information at any time. For more detail, see our Privacy Policy.
13. Food and allergies
Please tell us about any dietary requirements or allergies when you book. We will work with our caterer to accommodate them where we can, but we can’t guarantee an allergen-free environment.
14. Our materials
Workshop content, frameworks, workbooks and materials are owned by us, or used with permission. They are for your personal use only. You must not copy, record, sell, publish or teach them to others without our written permission.
15. Changes to these terms and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in place when you buy your ticket applies to you. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
