Counselling Services

  • Initial Session (60-90mins)

The initial counselling session is all about gaining a comprehensive understanding of your concerns, gathering relevant information and developing tailored therapeutic goals to support your mental health.

  • Follow-Up Session (60min)

Sessions to provide ongoing therapeutic care. Standard sessions are 50 minutes with 10 minutes at the end to reschedule/pay. The number of follow-up sessions will depend on each individuals needs and can be consistently re-evaluated to consider therapeutic goals.

  • Extended Session (90mins)

I get it, I love to talk! If you feel like a standard 50 minute session just isn’t quite long enough, book an extended session instead.

Presenting Concerns —

  • Negative self-esteem and lack of confidence. Low self-esteem can lead to self-doubt, fear of failure, and difficulty setting boundaries.

  • Persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, or loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed. Depression can affect your energy levels, motivation, and overall well-being.

  • Dependence on substances like alcohol, drugs, food, or behaviours (e.g., gambling), which disrupt daily functioning and relationships.

  • Feeling unmotivated or directionless, often struggling to find meaning in daily activities or long-term goals. This can lead to a sense of stagnation, dissatisfaction, and frustration with personal or professional life.

  • Recurring thoughts of wanting to end your life, or feeling hopeless and overwhelmed. Suicidal ideation can range from fleeting thoughts to more concrete plans and requires immediate support and intervention.

Engaging in intentional harm to yourself, such as cutting or burning, as a way to cope with emotional pain or distress. Self-harm is often a sign of underlying emotional difficulties and a need for support in managing feelings.

  • Unhealthy patterns of eating that may involve restricting food, binge eating, or purging. Disordered eating often stems from emotional distress, body image concerns, or a desire for control, and can negatively impact physical and mental health.

  • Unhealthy thoughts and feelings about your body, leading to dissatisfaction, unhealthy behaviours, or obsessive focus on appearance.

  • Difficulty managing intense emotions, leading to extreme reactions or mood swings. Emotion dysregulation can make it challenging to stay calm, think clearly, or respond effectively in stressful situations.

  • Difficulties with communication, trust, or emotional connection in relationships, whether romantic, familial, or social.

  • Feeling overwhelmed or unable to cope with pressures from work, relationships, or personal life. Stress can manifest physically and emotionally, impacting your health.
